Well... being a desparate housewife has lead me to desperate measures: watching reality t.v. Recently I have been watching the Millionare Matchmaker and The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The old, unmarried, cool Kelly, would NEVER have even wasted one minute watching stupid reality t.v. , but married life has changed me. I can't get enough of these trashy shows. But... it's not that I think their lives are interesting... I find these showing entertaining. BUT...... I've decided that I would like to be on one of these shows. However, I would want to be on ANY of the reality shows that actually exist. I would want to start my own show. It would be called the boring/ordinary housewives of America and I would star all of my married friends. I personally don't think that my life is ordinary or boring, but I think America would and for some strange reason I think America would be willing to watch a show about themselves. The stars of the shows would be all three of my sisters-in-law and then Courtney. We would have cameras follow us around all day. For instance a typical episode would just follow me around on all the exciting things I do in a day.
Take 1: July 20, 2009: First scene... I wake up 7:15, because today I have to take the GRE because I am basically changing my whole life plan. Husband wakes up and makes me breakfast (this is once and a lifetime thing, luckily it was caught on camera) because he is being a totally sweetie and wants me to do well on my test. But... see I don't know how to show how sweet this is because it's day one and the audience just really has no idea how much Husband really really covets his sleep and doesn't ever give his sleep away lightly. So... camera follows me to take the GRE... it shows me walk into the door, 4 hours later I exit... shows my smile and then I just talk about how now I have to go to the advising office and give them my score. At the advising office they tell me what classes to register for and then I leave school. After that I go and meet my parents for lunch. Mom knows me well and order me a mushroom chicken burrito. It was delicious. Do you see how entertaining this show is? After that mom and I go to Bed Bath and Beyond. I buy the Grilling Book by Better Homes and Garden and a potato cutter. Then I go babysit. I do an hour of book reports with the kids. Summer reading rocks! With Jack we read The Little's... which by the way was a cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid. I show Jack his surprise that I promised him: I went on Youtube and showed Jack the intro to the cartoon The Little's. This was an awesome surprise. Then we go for a bike ride which equals me running, holding onto Jack desperately trying to teach Jack to ride a bike while Haley says hurry up Jack... little babies know how to ride bikes...blah blah blah. Then... this gets more excited.... I go home. Let Kirbie the wiener dog out, then give her her hypo allergenic food which consists of Kangaroo and Oats... which by the way she HATES. She is not allowed to eat anything BUT this diet... it's soo sad because she is the biggest foodie dog ever! She usually eats what I'm eating. I'm a big softy and I give her snackies and treatsies all the time. So after this I cook chicken, pasta and herbs and broccoli, while I'm watching the Millionaire Matchmaker (see this can be product placement for Bravo TV) Of course I pop open some Yellow Tail Chardonnay which, by the way, I got for $5 from Publix and now I'm just a blogging. THAT'S what the Boring/Ordinary Wife's of America do.
Then my sisters-in-law and Courtney could be followed around too... it would be soo entertaining.... to me at least...
All these shows are soo boring.... but this one would actually be interesting because normal, ordinary... seemingly boring people could understand and relate.

ReplyDeletehahaha! Your life is way more fun than mine! Mine is wake up and kiss kitty a million times, sit at the computer, do boring code stuff, hunt for kitties to discover their napping place, smooch them, sing songs to them (this interval occurs probably once per hour), split business tasks with the hubby, talk about dinner, clean the bathroom cause I'm paranoid, look at way too expensive houses on craigslist, make tea, tweet about making tea, kiss kitty... you get the idea! Kelly your life is way more fun cause at least you leave the home several times! haha
